NUT

Not sure I agree with Yngve's post here.

I don't buy that teams are putting in that much more work than us. I think he likely underestimated our time commitment as well as overestimated other teams' which would bring us both towards the middle. I don't have evidence to support this really other than my thoughts. I just think that we have been putting in plenty of work and something different is going on with our team. Losing on game point 3 + years in a row doesn't support what he has said either because we have worked harder and harder each year in our preparation.

I think there is something mental that is responsible for our Sunday of Regionals woes. I think our team really feels the pressure more than other teams. It is certainly possible that I'm wrong here and that our team (minus Ben, Richard, and Elan) really performed to their potential, but I don't think so. We had the disc **Edit 1 time** going downwind up 13-12 and threw away the chance to win. So I don't buy that we played our best game. I also don't buy it because the past couple years we have not been missing people and have suffered the same heartbreak each year.

I am feeling terrible deja vu right now, because I had these exact same thoughts last year after Regionals. And somehow after another year, we are still in the same place. It is pretty disheartening for me because I don't know what else I can give to this team. At this point, none of what I have done (playing or coaching) has been enough. Makes me feel very inadequate.

At some point, the journey has to be about results. It can't be about the process forever or people wouldn't play.
